Our ministry, "Paws of Praise," began eight years ago, inspired by my remarkable former therapy dog named "Patches." He was a resilient Dalmatian-Labrador mix rescue. Patches visited the children's section at the Bluffton Branch Library, hospitals, assisted living, nursing homes and community events. He touched countless hearts during his visits. His incredible journey, from surviving a horrific incident to becoming a certified therapy dog, was even featured in the Bluffton Sun Community Newspaper.
