Miriam: Bringing music and connection
Miriam's background as a school teacher for 21 years, specializing in computers and music, has uniquely prepared her for Paws of Praise. She directed holiday shows and taught basic music theory, handbells, recorders, and harmonica. Her experience as a worship leader and at AT&T further demonstrates her diverse skills in connecting with people and organizing engaging activities. Miriam’s dedication ensures residents enjoy heartwarming musical interactions during every visit.

John: A heart for service and faith
John, Miriam's husband, brings a wealth of experience from his 20 years as an operations manager for AT&T and his second career as a school teacher and college-level instructor. His extensive dedication to ministry, serving over 20 years as a pastoral counselor and teacher of the Word of God, makes him a compassionate and understanding presence. John's calm demeanor and spiritual guidance enrich the lives of residents, offering comfort and companionship during visits.

Angel: Our furry friend and joy bringer
Angel is the heart of Paws of Praise, following in the paw steps of our beloved Patches. This special therapy dog brings immense joy to residents with her gentle nature and affectionate presence. Miriam shares, "What brings me joy is seeing the smiles and connections residents make with our dog Angel. It blesses us all!" Angel’s visits create comforting and heartwarming interactions that truly brighten the day for everyone she meets.
"The biggest reward is bringing smiles, laughter, and joy to the residents. Many of them seldom or never get visits from friends and family. They have been forgotten. It breaks my heart to even think about it. So if we can bring some joy into their lives, this is the biggest reward!"
